The animals were nice to see, but my instinct was right the moment we started walking around, it was just way too hot. There really wasn’t enough shade, so it got uncomfortable quickly.

We tried one of the educational programs at the Jacksonville Zoo, and overall it was decent. The kids definitely enjoyed seeing the animals, and the staff was friendly and seemed to care. That said, a few parts felt a little rushed and not as organized as I expected. I also wish there had been more hands-on activities to keep the kids more engaged. It wasn’t a bad experience at all, but for the price, it felt more average than memorable. I left feeling like it was nice, but not something I’d be in a hurry to do again.

I thought the food was better than what I usually expect at a zoo. We grabbed chicken tenders, fries, and a lemonade, and to me, everything tasted fresh. The lemonade was nice and cold too, which made a big difference in the heat. I’d probably give it 5 stars if the prices weren’t so high and the lines moved a little faster, but overall, I thought it was a decent spot to eat.

I bought our tickets on jacksonvillezoo.org before we went, and I think that definitely made getting in easier. The entrance line still moved a little slower than I expected, maybe 10–15 minutes on a busy day, but that might not be too bad compared to other places. The bigger wait was really the food lines, especially around lunchtime. I kept wondering if we should’ve just eaten before going, but the staff did seem like they were trying to keep things moving. Most of the exhibit areas were easy to walk through without feeling too crowded, which was nice. Overall, it was a good visit — I’d just give yourself extra time if you’re planning to eat there.

The parking situation put me in a bad mood before I even got inside. I drove around for what felt like forever, every lot seemed full, and there wasn’t really anyone helping direct traffic. It was frustrating enough that I couldn’t fully enjoy the visit. For a place that gets this busy, they really need a much better parking setup.

The tickets felt fair for what you get, honestly. We spent a few hours just walking around, saw a lot of animals, and the kids stayed busy the whole time, which is always a win. The food inside was a bit pricey, a bit more than I’d like, but the zoo ticket itself felt worth it

Some of the staff were really helpful and nice, but a few others seemed kind of annoyed when I asked for help. It made the experience feel a bit hit or miss.

The gardens were really and the landscaping looked super nice. Some of the paths were kind of confusing, or maybe I just wasn’t paying enough attention, but I did get turned around a couple times. Still liked it a lot overall

We went mostly to check out the animal exhibits and left feeling just a little disappointed. Some parts of the place looked nice, but a few exhibits felt empty, or it was just hard to see anything. A couple of the animals were pacing or hiding, which I totally get happens, but there just wasn’t much info around to make it feel more engaging. For us, it just didn’t feel worth the price.

It works okay overall, but, it can be a little hard to navigate sometimes, especially when I’m trying to find something quickly.

Uh, the food and drinks actually weren’t as pricey as I thought they’d be. The kids got some snacks, and we didn’t feel ripped off, which was a nice surprise.

The paths were really confusing, and the signs barely helped us figure out where to go. We ended up wasting a lot of time walking around in circles, which was frustrating. I think this is something management needs to look into because clearer directions would make a huge difference for visitors.

We got the family membership thinking it would save us money. Seemed like the smart move at the time. But honestly… not really feeling that way now.

The zoo itself is nice. No complaints there. But then there’s parking, food, little extras, and it all adds up fast. The discounts are there, sure, but some of them are so small you barely notice.

If you’re going constantly, maybe it works out. For us though, it was kind of disappointing. I just expected the membership to feel like a better value for what we paid.

We took our two kids it was such an easy day out. At first I was a bit stressed thinking it might be too much to manage, but that changed quickly. There was loads to look at, the paths were clean, and there were plenty of places to sit down when the kids started getting tired. The staff were really friendly too, which always helps. By the end we were all a bit worn out, but in that happy, full-day kind of way. It felt safe, relaxed, and really family friendly the whole time.

It was too packed in there. I could barely move around without bumping into someone, and it made the whole experience uncomfortable. Not really the good time I was hoping for

I really enjoyed my time here. The animals seemed comfortable and well cared for, and the habitats were clean with plenty of shade. It felt good to see a place where the animals’ comfort seemed to matter, which made the whole visit feel more meaningful and relaxed.

We mostly went for the zoo and so the kids could try some of the rides, but the ride part was a bit of a letdown. A few things were closed or had really long waits, and the train ride felt way too short for what it cost. Maybe it was just the day we went, but it felt like there should’ve been clearer info before getting there. The kids still enjoyed seeing the animals, so it wasn’t a total bust, but the attractions definitely seemed like they could use better upkeep

I don’t know, maybe I just showed up at a weird time, but the bathrooms were dirty and there was trash sitting around on some of the paths. It kind of made me wonder if anyone was actually checking the place regularly or if they just want us to think they are. Could definitely be cleaner.

I stopped by the zoo and overall it was a nice visit, though I’ll admit I felt a bit rushed the whole time trying to see everything. Some of the animals looked really healthy and active, which was great to see, but others seemed kind of bored, and a few of the enclosures felt a little small. I’m glad I went, but I do hope they keep working on improving the habitats...

I gave it 4 stars mostly cause the restroom situation was actually good. We was walking around Jacksonville Zoo with the kids, so that kind of thing matters a lot. There were bathrooms near most of the bigger areas and we didn’t have to hunt around too long. A couple of them could’ve been a little cleaner, but it wasn’t anything awful. Overall it made the visit way easier and less stressful.
